GUIDE

Which length extensions should I choose?

At Myextensions, we have three different lengths to choose between: 40 cm, 50 cm and 60 cm. Not sure which suits you best? We've gathered a few tips for you here to make it all a little easier.

The same length can look completely different

When choosing the length of your hair extensions, it's important to choose based on yourself – what looks absolutely perfect and natural on your friend can look completely different on you.

We all have different hair – and we're not all the same height either. The same length of extensions looks longer on someone who's 165 cm tall than on someone who's 175 cm, for example.

So it's about finding the length that's exactly right for you.

The length depends on your own height – you can get a sense of where each length reaches in the pictures further down the page.

40 cm is good for you if you:

  • Primarily want extra volume – and maybe just a little extra length
  • Have never tried hair extensions before and want to start with a small transformation
  • Have shorter hair and want to start with a length that's easy to style and manage

50 cm is good for you if you:

  • Want both extra volume and length
  • Want long hair with plenty of styling options
  • Aren't sure which length to choose – 50 cm is a bestseller that hits the mark for most people

50 cm hits a sweet spot for most people – and if you still find them a little too long, you can always have your hair extensions trimmed. That also gives you a more natural result.

60 cm is good for you if you:

  • Want as much length as possible – go big or go home, right?
  • Already have very long hair
  • Are torn between 50 and 60 centimetres – you can always have your extensions trimmed, so there's some length to spare.

💡 We usually recommend that your hair extensions are no more than twice as long as your own hair – but ultimately, do exactly what makes you feel good.
